This hidden gem has a great menu, kind staff, and a warm atmosphere. The shrimp tacos had a ton of shrimp and the carne asada fries were a killer option. The portions are unbelievably good for the price. This place can easily get crowded as it is a small restaurant but it is definitely worth the wait. Highly recommend for friends and families!

Food here is pretty good, I got the California burrito which is very close to authentic. A couple things I don't like though. First the salsas are very underwhelming, not spicy at all. The other thing is that the fries in the burrito get mushy, they don't stay crispy. This makes the texture become soft and lukewarm. I would advise them to fry the fries longer or use a different type of fries? This really is the only true California style Mexican place in Jacksonville though! Edit: I wanted to change my review because this restaurant actually listens to feedback from customers, very surprised! I went back and the fries were crispy, changed the vibe of the whole burrito. Also, salsas have gotten spicier too. Guy at the front, assuming hes the owner, is so friendly and polite. Definitely go here!

Taqueria De La Rosas has some real West Coast flavor! The carne asada fries and quesadillas were delicious, though a little too salty. Both salsas were flavorful but on the mild side. Still, the food was tasty and I’d definitely come back again.

So let me begin with I’m from SanDiego so I im a expert in carne asada fries and man the carne asada fries that they sell here taste delicious just like home the meat is full of flavor the fries are perfectly crunchy now it did throw me off that they used crinkle fries instead of straight fries but it was still delicious, I got 2 sauces hot(green) and extra hot (red). They both honestly were not spicy to me but more like medium hot which isn’t a bad thing but I did wish the extra hot had a lil more spice maybe some habanero will do the trick. Inside was pretty nice it was clean really liked the design of the tables I came around 6pm-630pm and they only had 2 customers and I which would be making 3, They honestly deserve more customers this Mexican restaurant is the bomb. Their customer service is excellent and top notch I got my food quick, they also talk to you as if you are family and that’s what other restaurants are lacking. I will be coming here again bringing my friends

If you want the best tacos and burritos in town, this is your place!! I always order the Dippy Dippy Tacos or the Cali Burrito with Churros. They are absolutely delicious and well portioned. You will not go hungry. The Birria Ramen is also tasty. Perfect for those cold days. I’m so happy to see them move from their food truck to an actual restaurant. This shows you how amazing and authentic their food is!
